“ You are greeted with “irasshaimase” when you enter the restaurant. Staff was friendly and professional. Option for digital menu view and for placing your orders. Broth was pretty tasty (a cording to the non vegetarian patrons), although the vegetarian broth was underwhelmed for me. I think the thick noodles ramen was the deal breaker. Ambience wasn’t quite conducive to dining convo as it was pretty open for public ears, not to mention hearing other people’s conversations too. They do offer stamp card, which is always appreciated and shows they care for loyalty. My only dissatisfaction was that the establishment was a stickler for time. Even when you were 10 mins early on a Saturday rainy morning and you can see staff standing around, they will not open the door for you until noon strikes. ”
Thai Luu“ The broth was super thick. Delicious taste, but the thick broth and noodles are very filling, so it might get a bit too much by the end. Their gyoza wasn't worth it, very small filling. Yuzu cheesecake was good! Nice service. Went on a weekday lunch around their opening time and we were seated immediately. They also have bar seating, perfect for solo diners. ”
shania trixie“ My expectation was higher as I read many good reviews of this restaurant. But honestly I think there are better Japanese Ramen restaurants in Toronto, so if compared to those this restaurant is just OK in my mind. If you are nearby and looking for a place for a quick food, you can try. But not worth to drive long distance just for this food. And it’s not cheap. I think the food is between 3.5-4 stars if there is an option for this in Google review. Their services were very good, staff were nice and smiling, a warm small place. ”
LEXY LIN“ In a word excellent all around - food, service and ambience. I ordered the Japanese Shoyu ramen and a side of pork gyozas. Both dishes were excellent and the menu has a great variety of Ramen dishes with the flexibility to further customize toppings and thickness of noodles. I look forward to going back and trying something new. It’s really cool when you can identify a small place that offers quality and expertise with a niche focus. They make great Ramen and they don’t pretend to be anything else. If you’re traveling in and around the Danforth, give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed. ”
Peter Nikitopoulos“ We are huge fans of ramen buta nibo further east in Danforth (same owners) so were delighted for an opportunity to try Ryu’s. The menu is totally different but incredible. We had the pork gyoza (perfectly juicy), tan tan men (amazing spice level and flavour) and the signature rich ramen (super creamy and delicious). I swapped the tan tan men noodles for thick ones and was very happy with that choice. This was a perfect meal on a cold day and we can’t wait to be back. ”
Marina Attia“ Tried this place a couple years ago and I keep coming back. Highly recommend the pork blaster with spicy miso broth, extremely tender pork and rich flavour. Came here again after being in Japan and it didn’t disappoint. Also recommend their mabo tofu! During the summer months get the sangria and eat on the patio :) ”
Caitlin B“ OMG...I had a delicious bowl of ramen for the first time in a long while! Even when I was living in Korea, I loved Japanese food and often went out for Japanese ramen. This place really reminded me of what authentic Japanese ramen tastes like. I’ll definitely come back to try other menu items next time! ”
IAN“ Intimate and authentically Japanese ramen joint with a nice back patio. The beer tower (very reasonably priced) is a must!! Noodles, broths and everything else is homemade and delicious!! ”
